Construction Updates and Progress (1 - 34)
Campaign Updates
Friendly, thanks to your generosity we have only financed a total of $4.8 million to date and we have approximately $800k of estimated cost remaining in total. This includes the estimated renovation cost for the 2nd and 3rd floor (The Obama Suite), decorations, furniture, additional lighting, and a north elevator. We estimate our final loan amount at approximately $5.2 million. This is contingent upon us being able to continue our Phase II Goal that will continue through June 2010 which is also when the construction loan has to be converted into a permanent loan. We have raised a total of $2.4 million over the short life of this project! We thank God for the commitment that each and every one of you has made toward Kingdom building. Every contribution that has been given is truly appreciated. We want to encourage you to continue with your contributions in an effort to keep our monthly mortgage amount low and manageable.
The Phase III time period will begin in July 2010 and will continue through June 2015. Our goal is to BURN THE MORTGAGE on June 1, 2015! (end of the permanent loan period).

About Friendly Temple’s Stewardship Campaign
The Friendly Temple Stewardship Campaign is a 3-year commitment of sacrificial giving. We are asking each member of Friendly to commit a pledge of $83 per month ($21 a week) over a three year period to the development and expansion efforts. This amount is over and above the tithes and contributions to general funds of the church.
Financial leadership and management begin when we recognize that everything we have comes from God and belongs to God. We are held accountable for all that God has entrusted to us and itʼs important to stay committed to managing God’s blessings. When we come to believe and understand this principle, we are then ready to use our gifts for God’s purpose and His glory. We ask that you join us in prayer as we continue to seek God’s provision on our expansion efforts and His purpose in our lives. It’s in order for us to thank the Lord for the love and favor He grants unto His people daily.
Campaign Sundays – “Building for Purpose with a People in Mind”
Campaign Sundays are a great opportunity for us to keep you informed of the development and expansion efforts at Friendly Temple. Our commitment to revitalization involves continuously striving to better serve our congregation and our community at large. Renovation and expansion are instrumental to fulfilling this great work that God has bestowed upon us.
We are blessed and thankful to be under the leadership of a dynamic preacher and teacher, Pastor Michael Jones, whose vision is far beyond the building of a new physical sanctuary made of brick and mortar but understands the importance of building Kingdom citizens who are filled with God’s Spirit and the Word of Truth. We also recognize the blessing of having the resource of land that provides room for our development and expansion. It is not something that we take lightly or for granted.
As a faith community, we stand in the promise of promise of Hope, Renewal, Strength and Stability. Join us for our worship services, especially 3rd Sundays at 7:30am and 10:30am, which will focus on prayers for our congregation and community.
We invite everyone to join our team and daily seek God’s blessings on this journey with us. Every gift is important, regardless of size. The smallest sacrifice can make the largest impact during this campaign and in the lives of others. Through stewardship, you are invited to make a personal commitment in the following ways:
Commit to a pledge that works best for you
Complete a pledge card and commit to $83 per month over 3 years.
Make a planned gift. Planned gifts may be made through a will, an IRA, tax-deferred annuity, life insurance or qualified pension, or profit-sharing plan
Become a Pledge Team Captain and encourage others to pledge.
